stupid crx wont start, help please.
Ok I deicde to clean out my car or whatever, and mount my ecu on the outside of the carpet, so I do everything normal hook back up the ecu, etc. But time to head out my car wont turn over, it just keeps doing that noice before it turns over, the fuel pump is connected, and the ecu is connected, battery is connected, I duno what is wrong those are the only things I touched.
yeah, it just wont turn over, I duno why, and I dont think I have that little plug to get an ecu code, I looked by the ecu there isnt a plug at all. nor is there a light on my ecu to flash a code.
Are you sure you no where the ecu is? Im pretty sure they all have the viewing window to check the code
Your looking under your passenger side carpet right?
Few questions- Can you hear the fuel pump priming?
Have you checked for spark?

Check for spark by pulling a spark wire and holding it to a ground while someone tries to crank the car, you will visually see a bright spark arcing into the ground
You didnt say if the fuel pump could be heard priming or not. If the fuel pump is priming and you check for spark and check in I can help more, need to know that first or you could have 100000 problems

when you unplugged your ECU, did you disconnected you battery before to do this?
there might be the problem, you check the sparck by unnpluged a sparkwire and the sparck togheter, then look for a grond and switch on your engine, this must be for a milimiters from the engine grond, so you're gonna need some help, to see if it's working or not. about the way, when you switch on your engine it's gonna be a light bettwen the engine and the spark

thats ur fuel pump , its 2 seconds exactly
DO you have spark? If you have spark then the best thing to change is your main relay ($5 at a junk yard, grab a few)
If youre not getting spark it could be (dizzy plugs disconnected, dizzy internal problem, plugs, wires, main relay)
You didnt play with any wires and this car ran fine before right?

right, and I cant figure out how to ground it, the metal in the plug is so far in and I dont know how to ground it or whatever. This really suck, it all worked until I took out my ecu. Didnt mess with anything else except the battery.
ok 1st. you're gonna need someone to help you, you cant do this at your own.
2. when you're ready at the engine, you're other mate most be swithcing on your engine, easy like that. when you're doing this, you're going to see this spark light.

it is possible you fried the ecu by static charge..... setting it on concrete or anything?
check the connections again.... if they are plugged in tight, i think maybe check the wires again, make sure you didnt pull a pin loose or tear a wire in half.
you said you mounted the ecu on the outside of the carpet.... (reason being, who knows) maybe you tugged on the wires a little too hard when trying to reconnect.
it obviously cranked before you dicked with it, right?

Ok I swapped out the ecu with another, no go. I replaced a couple fuses, no go. there is one wire hanging out and im not sure in which of the 4 slots it goes, but I tried all 4 and nothing happened. Anyone got any other ideas on what could have happened.
