Default Taking off the strip on the side of the car???

How do you go about taking off that pastic strip on the side of the car? Does it mess up the paint or anything? It is on a 1999 honda accord v6 coupe

There is an indention and holes on the other side. You would need to weld metal over them, finish and repaint your car.

That is correct. You should look closely above and below that molding and you will see an indention that it sets in.

Actually, you have the coupe? To tell the truth I believe you can take that off and have the sides look fine. Check out handaaccessories.com and I believe they show that molding is optional.
