TRADED
I'm looking to try something new. I've had this car for two years. It was purchased stock from a local car dealer. It is a very fun car to drive and has never left me stranded. What I've done since then is as follows:
Replaced D16Y8 with B18A
Specs on B18A
B18A block with USDM ITR Pistons installed with fresh hone approx. 8k. miles ago.
Approx. C/R = 10.6.1
GSR Transmission
Took car to King Motorsports (Mugen Distributor here in Wisconsin) where they installed a new headgasket and slightly milled the head (.005 mm) to ensure good fitment, and a few misc. items. Cost @ $1007, have recipt. This shop ain't no joke.
Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
ITR Flywheel
Password JDM Carbon Fiber Intake
USDM ITR Header
Omnipower Test Pipe
RS*R Exmag Exhaust
Chipped ECU for HiComp pistons, stock redline
Toicko Blues with H/R Sport Springs
SI Wheels
Full Disclosure:
Cosmetically the paint is pretty good, nice lustre. There is a crack along the corner of the bumper from a parking lot bump. I do have a NIB Bumper from Honda I will throw in. There is a dent in the hood about the size of a quarter.
Mechanically, the swap runs strong. Sometimes there is a bit of a surging idle, about 300-700. I was told this is a IAVC on the fritz. As far as the transmission goes, if you release the clutch when coasting, then come to a stop, you need to throw it into second quick before first. I don't understand this, but I've gotten used to it. Other than that the transmission never grinds, or pops out of gear. I use it because it's tough to find a decent B-series transmission with known condition.
What I'm looking for:
Show me some trades. I'd like to try something new, and this is an opportuinty for somebody else to do the same. My plan was to throw some Crower 403's or 404's and have a non-vtec all motor monster. You also have the compression to add a vtec head and see great gains. Do some research, with this compression, you'll make gobs a power. So show me what you guys got.
Everybody loves pictures.
