Hello

I have a delema. My 94 civic wont start when it is wet or humid outside. The fuel pump wont turn on. I spoke to a dealership and he had no clue except that it might be the main relay.
I had the same problem with my 91 a couple years ago.
Has anyone had this problem?

Same problem with my brothers DA. It would sometimes refuse to start when it was warm out. We replaced his main relay and haven't had problems since.

I know it has something to do the solders on the main relay going bad. And when metal gets warm, it expands. In theory causing the solders to become weak over time.

 

I think their is thread out there on a F.I.Y. main relay.

 

Main Relays are prone to go out on older Hondas.

I changed the main relay and it is still doing it. Could it be a bad ground or wire?
