Default Liscense Plate Lights OUT - Where Do They Get Power? Easy Fix?

I just noticed that my cars liscense plate lights are out, both of them. As far as I know when i took the car off of the road a year ago they worked just mint. just brought the car back on the road and apparently they dont work

The bulbs are intact

I dont wanna get a ticket for stupid **** like this or give me the reason to pull me over.

Anything I can do to fix them?

Thanks

Replace the bulbs first. Then check fuses. The bag grounds. There is a ground for the back lights only. Then your in the same pot as I am if everything turns out fine! I still cant get my running lights back.
