b16a throttle body
I just picked up a throttle body from the junkyard off a 92 ls. I put a jdm obd1 b16a swap in my ef. I am having sputering/bogging problems, and its really pissin me off. I was wondering if I could swap throttle bodies. The reason I am asking is becuase my b16 tb has a fitv on it, and I wanted to get rid of that. I was told that my b16 tb is longer than the ls tb, and it wont work. If this is the case, Im going to look into a itr manifold w/ throttlebody. I figured I would try a different throttlebody because I think I might have a deadspot on my tps.
I can explain my problem fairly easily. Lets say Im stopped. The second I slip the clutch in first gear( i have to do it slowly,) the car will bogg down all the time, then continue to go. Shift to 2nd, I keep my foot at the same position on the gas pedal, and the car is bogging, and vibrating, like its getting too much gas, or not enough. the car wont acclerate normally(sometimes it feels slower than my a6!) this problem seems to be intermittent( happens mostly all the time, but sometimes it runs normal. If i want to start off or slip the clutch rather quickly in first, the car will bogg, and the problem wont go away. Is ****** weird, and I want this problem gone. I searched this whole site, came up with 609 different posts, dont know what to do. Ive done a full tune up- checked tps, and set it. no vacuum leaks. I only have 1 4 wire 02 sensor, and with that unplugged, the car does the same thing. Checked all the wiring- its good. If it makes a difference its a 91 si with a full changeover out of a jdm xsi... I had a guy stop me today and ask me if I wanted to sell that car because its soo clean, (looks stock- tahitian green no rust) i almost wanted to cuz i cant drive the car normally..
