A/C question..sanity check
Hi Folks,
I have a weird A/C question....First some background: I put a B16A into a '91 CRX and I'm really
happy with the performance. The swap went very smooth...The weird thing is I'm now hooking up
the A/C and I can't find the high pressure connection! I don't mean the switch itself....thats located
in the high pressure line I mean the female conection thats supposed to be attached to the chassis wiring harness.
Its clear where the lcaotion is in the crx manual but I can't find it in the engine compartment. Maybe I'm losing my mind?
I had the condenser and radiator out of the car so it should have been obvious where the female connector is located. WTF!?
If anyone has a picture of that conector and its location on the wiring harness I'd appreciate it.....thanks.

yep that's the bastard. I don't think the connector could be used for any other connection. I'm baffled. Thanks anyway.
Also I'm converting the system to r134a is there any thing I should be concerned about? should I try to remove all of the oil from the compressor?
I've read that the r12 oil is not compatible with the r134 oil. Is that correct?

I would certainly be concerned about the fact that your A/C is not going to cool as well and may not last as long. Do yourself a BIG favor and pay the extra cash for R12. It is WELL worth it.
