Default Does anyone have an opinion or review of this ebay catalytic converter???

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

I live in New Hampshire and there is no emission testing for I believe 1995 and below so the only reason I wouldn't purchase is if it would hurt performance lack of back pressure or somthing to that effect.Would this hurt my car,I realize the cats main reason for existence is emissions but I also know it helps with back pressure for something also.......anyone??? I know it's cheap, piece of **** but it is stainless and with no emissions, well you know. Thanks

Will it make the exhaust sound annoyingly loud, or how? Describe if possible.

a regular test pipe will be annoying and loud, but a resonated test pipe will give you a different sound, it depends tho on if your exhaust is already resonated and if your muffler is straight threw or chambered.

i had a 2.25" tubing, 22" resonator, and chambered muffler with resonated tip so it was as queit as stock (under 5200revs atleast)..

the sound depends on everything else ,,engine, header, exhaust tubing diameter and wall size,muffler,etc,etc//

Performance wise it will be better, but emissions wise it will not.

i have this "cat" on my b18a hatch. where i live we don't have emmision testing but all the emission components have to be visually in place. it looks like a cat enough cuz i just passed inspection with it on. thats the only reason i put it on. did improve sound a tad over a staight "test pipe".
