OKay i am experiencing some weird issues with my car all of suddenly, I was driving and next thing i know i hear a weird like whining noise coming from the front right side of my integra like metal to metal sort of. So you know I pull over to check things out, i see nothing underneath rubbing or hanging. It seems to only be when i give it gas, it doesnt do it when coasting or braking just when the gas is pressed. I took the car to my friends house took the front right wheel off to visually examine the suspension area. Everything seemed to visually look alright, axle seemed to be ok I pushed and pulled on it and had very very little play, I saw no breaks or holes in the axle boots. I then put the car in gear and gave it gas while on axle stands the left side spins very well however the right side does not. My friend held the passenger tire from spinning while i was gassing it and the left side spun whereas when we tried this on the drivers side the wheel could not be held still, could this be a bad passenger axle?? Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the first few things you had described, I would say it's your brake pads getting worn down. That has happened twice to me...thought it was the brake dust shield rubbing or some type of metal causing whining/rubbing noise. Took off the brake pads and notice the little metal tab was rubbing letting me know that it was time to replace the pads.

 

okay what about my wheel being able to held by my friend to where it could not spin??? You know what i mean?? He was literally able to keep my passengers side wheel from spinning at all whereas when he tried that on my drivers side there was no way in hell he could hold that thing, and yes i can see this being my problem as the brakes cuz they were squeling a little the last day or two.
