Ok so i bought a crx
I bought a crx around the corner from my house and it idles at 2500 rpm. I was wondering where the idle control screw is and how much should i turn it? what happens is this when i first start it it'll idle perfect... as soon as i touch the gas it will jump up to 2500 rpm and idle there. also its a 89 crx si.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it starts and runs perfect until you press the gas, then its not the idle...i bet the throttlebody needs a good cleaning, or your petal is sticking....or both. Clean the throttlebody out real good, make sure theres no gunk buildup on the outside where the mechanism that is controlled by the pedal, etc.

Mine does that sometimes. I put my foot under the pedal and lift the pedal up. It stops it. I'm just too lazy to find the source of it.

on the pedal end of the throttle cable there's a rubber bushing. I bet the cable is wearing a groove in the bushing and causing it to bind. it's an easy fix, you just have to feel around under the dash and pull up on the cable to remove it then go into the bay, twist and pull it out. it's a 10 min. job.
