Default CRX Tranny Swap

i need help badd everyone...my pride and joy jus blew its tranny on the highway 2day and i need to get it bac ASAP...i got a SOHC 91 CRX Si. Now i have anuther crx that i mostly use for parts but i was just curious if i can use the tranny from that with it is a bone stock 90 CRX DX...someone please let me know if the hours spent swaping the trannys is worth it...

Ya, it will work. DX and Si trannys are a direct swap. The gearing won't be as good as your si, but it will work just fine!

you could probably get it done in a day if you know how to pull the engine and seperate the tranny. Your dx tranny should work i think the gear ratios are a little different from the si gear ratios

definitly dont pull the motor... all you need to do is undo the bolts and support the higher spot of the oil pan with a jack and 2x4. then undo the pass mount and lower the motor. itll slide right out.

to line it up just use another jack to lift and position the new tranny to slide it in

Yes, it will work. But performance will suffer with the taller gearing.

I have a ZC and DX transmission, trust me, you'll love the mileage. I get 35-40 city. Who knows what highway (yet).
