Default DX to SI

I have a 91 civic dx and i want to put in a si motor or just do the dpfi to mpfi conversion. What does this do to the classification? I dont want to be put in a class that is way out of my league. I would actually like to stay in stock but it isnt exactly stock for my car. I read something in the rulebook (scca) about different trim levels but didnt quite understand.

I am assuming this is for Solo 2.

Modifying the fuel injection or swapping an Si drivetrain into your DX will put you straight into CSP, provided you do not have any other modifications that are illegal for SP.

Do some suspension work and specially with EFs (tell you from experience) I would replace all bushings with new ones.

the mpfi conversion? the wiring is easy, once you screw it up once.

i spent two weeks figuring it out the first time.

now i do them in 20 minutes (wiring wise)

the problem is the lack of a decent write up, as best i can tell.

i couldnt have said it better my self. i have done other wiring projects that should have been harder but that one sucked the most. i was coming behind someone elses already started project and trying to fix thier mistakes/ finish it. and i was going solely off of write ups that sucked. if i had to do it all over again i would start with good wiring diagrams and work it out myself. i hate using other people shitty schematics.

I did this conversion to my racecar. No kidding hard to figure out the first time.
Haven't had any problems since (yet) soldered and heat shrink everything. I re loomed everything and taped it up almost looks stock. I installed and 4 pin plug for the 2 extra wires for injectors and 2 wires for crank position so i can still unplug the motor at the firewall and remove it.
Also anywhere i had a connection i made it easy to access to inspect in case it broke under vibration.

I actually got very lucky and my manifold got sent to me with a whole instruction manual. It was from a website that used to be up a few years ago, but now it's gone. It was a pain in the *** as it was one of my first big projects I was all crazy when I was 16 and wanted to make my pos sohc fast It was very unreliable because the wiring from the dizzy was too short and the soldering and heat shrinking wasn't enough, so they kept coming loose.
