I recently unhooked my battery to help jumpstart some jetskis and when i hooked the battery back up everything electronic reset including the stock cd player face. When i started the car the radio would not play.

Instead it asked for a password/pin that was 4 digits. I tried 3 times then it didn't ask anymore. Now it reads "error -4" and i cannot use it at all.

My plan is to unhook the battery again after i get the stock pin number for this thing. If there is anyone out there that has a solution to this simple problem, please help me.

Disconnect the battery for like 3 mins.

Reconnect.

Make sure you are entering the correct code.

It should work now.

 

if you do not have the code, you will have to get it from the dealer.

 

I took my car to the dealership for somthing really e/z ... a 15 min fix .. anyways i go back jump in thank them and notice my cd player was locke ... they said np take 5 mins ...to get the code .. then said cuz i had the tapeplayer thats under the cd radio deck that they couldnt see a number ... or a code or somthing that gives them the pin# they pulled my headunit and then back to normal .. dunno how they get the pin# but they did take the headunit out for some reason...
