Theres your problem. You didnt let the car warm up enough before romping down into it. You have to give the engine time to warm up.

theres a sensor that wont let vtec engage when the motor is cold.

you guys are killing me.

your engine is cold, why would you beat the hell out of it?

VTEC won't engage until the motor is warmed up, theres a cut off at 6100.

wait until 3 bars to engage it.

or give me your car, cause you don't deserve it

i accidently did it when i first got mine because i was talking to my friend while driving (yeah, yeah i know.) i was looking at the road, but not the tach and thought i was in a higher gear than i really was. ide never do anything that retarded with my S.

you should see the redneck kids at my school. they get into there big jacked up trucks with bumpers hanging off and dents every where from hitting trees and rev it to redline first thing. its horrible, im hoping the motor blows in the school parking lot.

if u dnt warm up, your s might pull a hammy

in my ap2 the redline is above vtec engagment when cold, so u can rev above the vtec point, but it never kicks in, and i wont get close to 8k without vtec engaged.

lets say your on 3 bars, and for some reason you rev up the motor. will vtec engage or does it have a limiter at idle like civics and accords.

You mean NEUTRAL, not idle!!!! And no. If its warmed you can bang the limiter in neutral all you want.

hahah. I know that. I was juss wondering if Hondageek is the guy that owns that NFR with the Spoon FB, polished MF10's, and slotted rotors that are put on backwards, that got confused if his calipers were put on backwards.

That wasn't even his car. And that front bumper is Mugen. How can you mistake the two?
