Default JDM Tranny question

What are some ways to tell if you have a JDM ITR Tranny w/ 4.785 final drive? Can someone help me out. Can you name me as many ways you can think of.

thanks

Well, you can check the serial number on the tranny casing. Dee has information on how to identify the tranny, whether it's 98+.

Whether or not someone replaced the 4.785 fd w/ the 4.400 counterpart is another story.
