My brothers, a couple of friends and I were out for a ride on Saturday afternoon. Everything was going great until we reached a stoplight. We were at the light ahead of all the traffic and we took off. Well, one of my friends decided to wheelie with my cousin riding as a passenger--going about 40mph. I was right behind them when I saw the bike go up waaay too high. They both fell off and slammed onto the pavement. My cousin landed on his *** (literally), tucked his head and rolled a few times before popping right up and slowly walked away from the traffic. My friend bounced a few times, but luckily neither of them sustained any head injuries. When my cousin walked towards us he looked fine. We checked him all over and thought everything was cool, but when he turned around, there was a gaping hole in his textile pants (Joe Rocket Alter Egos). His glutes were covered in blood. Shortly thereafter, my cousin started to get dizzy and almost passed out. We layed him down on the grass until the ambulance arrived. Luckily there were several bikers that pulled over and another bystander was an EMT. They kept the situation calm. My cousin started to shake and was very incoherent. My friend didn't have a scratch on his body because he landed on top of my cousin. My cousin is okay and just has some serious road rash on his ***.

Just wanted to share my story with people out there that don't like to wear gear. Yes, my cousin had textile pants and a textile jacket, but I think leathers are the only way to go. If he would've been wearing leather pants, I think it would of saved his ***--no pun intended. The timberlands ended up with a hole in the ankle area. It burned right through, but his ankle was okay.

Please guys, wear your gear and don't do stupid ****. A lot of motorcycle accidents happen when you do dumb ****

Seriously though, glad everyone is "ok". Hopefully one or more people learned a listen from all this.
