JDM parts interchange-ability
Hey everyone,
I'm a newbie here but I hope someone can help me with this question. I just imported a 1997 JDM Prelude from Japan. It's a right-hand drive, 5spd Si spec (no VTEC) with 75,000km on it. Got is last week, loved it, crashed it into a light pole going 15 miles an hour
(long, stupid story).
Anyway, I need a new radiator and I think that the engine and radiator in this car is the same as a US model, but I'd like to be sure before I pay for one to be shipped to me in The Bahamas. The radiator in the car is made by Denso and there is a sticker on it with the numbers 7141 (large numbers) and 122000 (small numbers). Also, molded into the plastic along the top of it is a Honda emblem with the numbers PA66 - PA612 underneath. The radiator has two layers of core, each about 3/4 of an inch thick with just a narrow space between them. There are two fans mounted to the back of it, a large one to the right side of the car and a smaller one to the left. The whole thing is roughly 26 by 14 inches.
Can anyone tell me whether this sounds like the same radiator in a US Prelude, or whether the part numbers match the OEM radiator in their car? If so, I can just buy a radiator off e-bay. If not, I gotta send to Japan for one.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Are you serious? You wrecked your new car a week after you bought it...Lol, what's the story behind that? At least give us cliff notes. The radiators should interchange
OK, since you asked...
I was fooling around with the cup-holder trying to get it to hold my coffee cup steady, and talking to my 3 year old in the back seat who was whining because she couldn't get the wrapper off a candy, and glancing at road every few seconds. I was going slowly through the gated community where I live and I guess I forgot for a moment that I was on the right side of the car, not the left, so when I glanced up, I absent-mindedly oriented the car so as to put me, i.e. the driver, not the car, over to the left (we drive on the left here). The next time I looked up from the struggle with the cup-holder, there was a lamp pole six inches from my hood emblem and approaching fast. There wasn't even time to screech brakes. It was like "Sc...BANG!"
I guess I'm lucky the airbags didn't go off.
C'mon though, I need more than "the radiators should interchange". Got anything concrete to tell me?

Damn, that sucks. Yeah, you're defenitly lucky the air bags didn't go off...What else would you like me to say about the radiator? Yes they're interchange. There's nothing different between the JDM Preludes and USDM Prelude radiator. You can even use a radiator from an Accord, cause they interchange with each other

Some have VTEC and some don't, just like some are 4 lug and others are 5 lug
