i don't really see the need for a short shifter on the S..... you could just get a counter sunk shift **** and get similar results, and install it in like 5 seconds...

I'm running the Axialflow short shifter and it's a great improvement over the excellent stock shifter. Very postive and eliminates the guess work by allowing your forearm to rest on the center console. I only move my hand/wrist when shifting. I haven't had a bad shift with it in several months of usage. One of the better additions to my S.

Even with the stock shifter, it still only takes a flick of the wrist.

one of the best manual gearbox i have driven, i doubt you need a shortshifter.
try a counter sunk **** and see if you like it, i am having hard time finding a weighted counter sunk ****. i used to have a round alumium one that sits all the way down but it's too light.
I am using my skunk2 **** with the boot stay rubber ring.

I am running the Spoon Ti **** and I love it. Weighs almost nothing. I've decided that I like a light **** more than a weighted one. If you do get a countersunk shift ****, try removing the nut instead of using it. The **** will sit a bit lower.

alot of their ***** are height adjustable. </TD></TR></TABLE>
it's a sales pitch, they are height adjustable because they are threaded all the way to the top, but for most shift the thread is limited so it will not go as low as you think you can.
alot of aftermarket **** are made that way, skunk2 **** are that way and arc ****.
and something about the link you sent: 100 buck? for a freaking no brand ****?
I was deeply in love with the Ti spoon **** but i ended up not getting another light ****

i have seen some break cause they are too light. With man shifts those babies crack. Im not too sure about the newer reinforced ones.

eh...yes and no. By doing that is it shortening the distance your hand has to travel, but it's not actually making the transfer from gear-to-gear any shorter.
I experimented with several short shifters in my old Integra, and I found the TWM performance to be the best in my book. Their quality was top-notch and it drastically reduced the throw.
I've only seen pictures of S2k's w/ countersunk shiftknobs; some seem like they go too far down and become more of a problem that a solution. Is this true for any of them?

I took the locknut off, put some threadlock on the ****, and screwed it all the way down. It sits about 1/4" lower, but looks more flush with the CF shift boot.

Hi Guys,
I thought I could clear up the height adjustability question about our shift *****. It's not just a sales pitch, they can be adjusted up and down by about 1.5 inches depending on the ****. Here's a diagram which better illustrated how our NTIS height adjustable ***** work:

The height selection screw can be removed for the lowest possible **** postion, lower than stock in most cases since our ***** are thread very deeply. The height selection screw can also be set to any point in the **** where it prevents the NTIS insert from threading any deeper, making the **** sit higher on the shaft.
I hope this helps.
