Default jdm navi... will it work in states?? ek9

i have a head unit from a 2000 ctr and i was wondering if anyone knew how to make the navigation work here in the states, or if it's even possible. I went to the local honda dealership and they were no help, so i have come to ask help... any help is greatly apreciated as i am in the dark with this... if u have any other questions or need other pictures let me know and i can post more info, thanks!

There have been a few threads about this topic. It is pissible to get it to work but you will need to tack down the U.S. map disc for it. Also you might just have to take it to a shop to have them wire it up, cause from what I remember from one of the threads it's a MAJOR pain in the ***.

yea i can get the U.S software disc from the dealership, runs bout $200 but they said that u probably just pop the sucker in and then it should load itself, but that seems way to easy and haven't been willing to put out the 2 bills for something that might work... i heard of it being done before and in fact i was just going through the wonderful ht pages and found where someone posted that it had been done before and began this thread in hopes of getting this guy to post, the page is https://honda-tech.com/zero...e=177
just scroll a ways down and u'll see the picture i'm talking about, this ones a lil different but should hook up the same way... so hopefully and eventually find the one who calls himself SiR:Mallard, thanks for ur help tho guys...

I think someone on clubcivic asked this and I believe you can use the software disc from the Acura Factory Nav. systems, but I'm not 100% sure on that
