This is for sale near me. Should I buy it? I am in it soley to turn a profit. EXACT same ones (down to the color) are selling @ $3000 on ebay.

199K miles
second owner since 2/96 at 106K miles
snow chains (have to find them, somewhere in storage)

$1500 Pioneer Premier Audio System
KEH-P515 35Wx4 cassette/CD/removable/remote
CDX-P6265 6-disc CD changer
GM-X414 140W+140W amp with built-in crossover
TS-E1690 6.5" coaxial 3-way speakers (4)
New battery 5/06
Both axles 10/04 (most recently replaced along with L ball joint 1/06)
New tires at 178K
New rear hatch struts 2005
Full exhaust piping and muffler 5/05
Left upper control arm 3/05
All coolant hoses and brake master cylinder 6/04
Wheel cylinders and brake shoes 4/04
NGK V-power sparkplugs 10/03
Front brakes 2002
New windshield 2002
Distributer assembly (cap/rotor) 11/02
Alternator 10/01
Issues:
Body rust - kept after, but never professionally addressed
Needs new gaskets as oil leaks (about a quart/month)
Timing belt due
Clutch needs adjusting or replacing
ok, now I would fix the seals and replace the clutch, and do the timing belt. And I am a detailing machine!!

He's asking $1000. I bet I could get it for $750-900.

Damn. Even in tha condition its in now you could make profit off it. Thas dumb *** clean buy it and flip it for thousand more!

Right, but I was thinking 3. CRX's have always had demand. Great ones can go from 4-5k up. Good, like this one when I'm done with it should get $3000. This is actually my main question. Sorry for not posting that in the original post.

Well what I didnt tell you was the first line of what the seller wrote. He wrote the blue book value was $1200. So he figures, $1000 for a fairly quick sell with the miles and all.

Loks like a nice clean CRX. I'd say the cost largely depends on the severity of the rust.
Just an offhand (doesn't mean ****) opinion is you wouldn't have any problems unloading it for $1500+ around here.
If you could pick it up for $750-$900 at the very least you could part it out and make a couple hundo.
I say jump on it.
