Default OBDo to obd1 convertion in b16a, havin Dizzy mounting prob.

hi All,
I am converting my b16a obd0 to obd1, i am done with every thing except the dizzy, there is only one way the dizzy sits on the distributor mount, but it dont freely move around. Its in full advance condition can move more in that direction, My friends say that we have to cut one of its legs to make it move on the bot directions, but he is not sure that which one will it be, he also said that this isnt the way the dizzy have to install becouse its upside down,
I am very confused, if any one who have done this can show me some pics of it, It will be a kind help and ill be thankfull.
Ill can also post the pic by the end of the day, As i am in my Office rite now,

what type of distributor is it? its an obd1 obviously but if its a non vtec than you have to cut the leg farthest to the firewall when it is in proper position but if its a vtec distributor than you should have no problems

does one of the legs hit the vtec solenoid? if so its probably from a nonvtec and all you got to do is cut off that leg..

yeah there is only one way on which the dizzy get installed with out cutting the leg, but it hit Vtec selenoid,
Is there any problem with using Non-vtec dizzy or its ok to use it,
Is there any way to detected that the Distributor is Vtec or Non-vtec one.

if it's a ls dizzy just chop that leg off that hits the vtec solenoid... it'll still work perfectly fine.

hi, thanks for your replay to my topic regarding Distributors,
two more thing i want to ask is,
there is a wire, which goes to main replay and B9 of the ECU, where can i find that wire..Is that the starter motors signal wire or the direct power from battary,
there are 2 wires which are going to alternator by the name of ALT F and ALT C, I dont know which wire goes to C or F,
the colour codes are, WHT/BLUE, Wht/red, Blk/yellow..

Looks like a VTEC distributor to me.... you shouldn't have to cut anything.

What is the casting number.. like TD44u, etc...
