I keep seeing parts only made for sh and seprate ones for the rest, what is the difference between them???
Also how much would a 97 prelude weigh?
one more, do they have ABS systems?

The main difference between base and SH is the suspension, and ATTS.
All ludes have ABS systems, and a base lude weighs 2954lbs and the SH weighs 3042lbs.

so if you had to pick between the two, i want to drive it every day put intake exhaust short throw and thats it, it will be a daily driver while i am building a low 10 crx
Just get the base model prelude...It really not all worth buying an SH. With the money you save, you can have the base model alot better than the SH

and still i sit here in udder confusion because my original question was not answered......... what are the specific differences money is no object here so i need to know if it really matters to have the dealership order one in or just buy the fully loaded black one on the lot, when i say order it in i mean from another dealership not from the factory, i know they are not producing them any more
Reading up in Car & Driver, the SH has a different front differential. Like limited slip, but better. For example, in a hard right turn it sends more power to the right front tire, which (assuming there's traction), pulls you towards the inside of the corner. Makes it handle more like a rear wheel driven car in "power on" type fast sweepers. You'ld notice the back end feels a bit looser.
This is BEST LEARNED on the dirt where you can get loose at lower speeds so beware, no point in crashing. At the same time, if you've driven too fast on wet roads, you may already have had the experience.

Cluster-has ATTS light-
Type SH sticker on decklid
Shift boot

Oil filter is in a different place
spring perches are at different heights, lower on the SH, a-arm location is different, and the crossmemeber is also different, as well as the added ~ 2 degrees of castor found on the SH model vs. Base
rear deck lid doesn't have brake light, right?
Thats all, I think.

Sorry, crunchfoot, but ATTS is not better than a limited-slip diff. ATTS is still an open diff with zero gains on a hard launch. A LSD with helical-cut gears, on the other hand, provides a true limited-slip benefit on launches and slippery surfaces in addition to doing everything that ATTS does, plus it weighs a whole lot less than ATTS and will require no service. Oh, yeah--putting a Quaife in a Base Lude is hella cheaper than buying the SH, too.
