Default What intake is the best for a 04 s2k?

I just got my s2k and i was wondering what intake i should get? I was looking at the comptech ice box, but is there anyother intake that may perform better for around that price?

Careful...both the AEM and INJEN (and similar designs ) have a risk of water injestion in heavy rain (the filter sits just below a drain hole) or if you live in an area where you might pass though water deep as the chin of your car (the filter sits very low in the car just in front of the passenger wheel well).

Those are the best intakes for hp, and probably safe if you live in Southern California. But I've done some driving in the Columbia, SC area and I certainly saw some roads in the mountains after a heavy rain storm with water deep as the chin running across it. Just be aware of the risks.

No water worries with the Comptech but not as much a power producer as the AEM style.

Also consider a spoon style snorkle (you can find them cheap on eBay). Best results with that if you also cut the divider in your stock air box.

I made more power w/ a K&N filter than a guy w/ a ARC and he had I,H,E (I think he had a header).

That looks like the TWM set, with the long runners and short horns.

thats actually the worse intake you can buy because you just can't slap it on a drive

ITB's are amazing if tuned right, but they don't yeild as much power as everyone thinks they do

i don't have an AP2, but I got a Comptech drop in filter for my AP1 and called it a day. Although I dont know if I gained any horsepower, throttle response improved and it sounds pretty darn nice Oh, i do have the AUT cooling panel that directs air into the stock air box but I dont know if that makes a difference.
