Default So confused about my 1988 Prelude...

I've tried searching for this, but I think I may just be getting lost in all the information. Does anyone know off hand why my 1988 prelude Si (I know its an Si coz the VIN# matches for one)...but my brakes are discs on the front and drums on the rear. I need to get the brakes done soon and I wanted to upgrade them to a better set, but everything on the internet sells disc pads for the fronts and the rear. Every site I go to thinks that my car has discs all around and offers nothing for drum rears.

This is the first car I've ever owned that has drums in the rear (it explains some of the strange braking inconsistencies on the car, I think) and I'm not even really sure what I'm doing with them, but I'll figure it out eventually. I'm just wondering if anyone knows why my 88 prelude has drum rears? The best I could found was a site that sold a package thru 88.5 and then onward. Was there an early run of the 1988 Prelude that had drum rears and it was changed mid-year? Thanks!

That is weird, I thought preludes had rear disk brakes since '84?

Not sure why someone would swap drums onto it, but someone apparently did
