Mugen took all of the parts they offered for the CRX, installed them on a CRX, and took pictures of it for their catalog. Nothing really special about it.

hey thats exactly what my car is gonna look like. I found that pic a few weeks ago and use it to photochop different sets of wheels on it. I'm stuck between bronze volks, the new limited black/red volks, and gunmetal/polished lip SSR Comps.
Back to the topic though, real mugen CRXes are rare as hell. On my car, I have the WW kit, w/ a JDM frontend and a JDM mugen replica front bumper. I really don't care how authentic it is or anything, as long as it looks good and serves my purpose. I beat the hell out of my cars, and use them to their limit, I wouldn't want to worry about destroying expensive body work while doing so. I paid like $300 for the front bumper, $569 for the WW kit 7 years ago, and I have about $250 in the JDM hood, headlights, turn signals, corner lights, and side markers. If it was all real Mugen stuff, it would easily be twice that, if you could find it.
Mugen crxes were cool for their time, but honestly Mugen stuff, is kinda over rated IMO. MR-5's are too heavy, and everything else they had other than the body kit, has been surpassed, by current tunning companies. In their day they were cool, and are worth a ton today in original unmolested form, but with all available to the american market today, a Mugen Pro.2 crx, is just not that impressive. I'm swapping a K20A typer-r in my crx, and going with a full built KONI/GC setup, ST rear bar, z-10 kit, the works. It should be way better than a mugen crx ever dreamed of being. I would also hate to chop up a real Mugen CRX, like that. Oh yeah I almost forgot, I don't really car for the Mugen rear wing to much. It is by far the nicest wing for the CRX, but I prefer wingless.
