Default Older STR cam gears good? And what about these?

Are the older 3 bolt STR cam gears still good? Or is there a big risk of them breaking loose on their own? Also, there are a few eBay branded gears for sale for really cheap. They look solid, but you never know

i dunno why, but the 3 bolt cam gears have always worried me. I'm sure they will work fine, but i like to have a little bit of security.

Yeah. I did some deep searching and found a few people who had them slip, but that was with the old washers. They contacted STR (back when they existed) and they sent them a new washer that seemed to hold up. What about those eBay gears. The 5 bolt ones look like they'd hold up, maybe the 4 bolt ones too? This is one place where cheaping out worries me

FYI, STR is now called BDL so you should still be able to contact them.

You should put some Loctite on the screws.

I ran the aem 3 bolts for about three years and never had them slip. Not sure if I'd trust anything on ebay though.
