Distributor **** the bed on my 93 LS and I bought a new one from Distributor king. I took my old one off and the new one goes in. but it's like crooked, the front bolt goes in flush and the top bolt too, but the back one is like hanging out, i'm afraid to push on it hard incase of breaking it. I thought it might've been the rotor was like crooked or something but when I put the old one back on to see it went in like the new one. What am I doing wrong? First time doing distributor, pointers? TIA.

 

Is it an OBD1 distributor?

 

Yeah, it's the OEM replacement from Distributor king, he's a sponsor on here. The distributors physically look identical, so that's not the problem, I'm just doing something wrong I guess.

 

Nevermind, I got it. I'm retarded. lol

 

 

I had the same problem until I realized the the teeth that go into the cam are not perfectly centered
