Ok so i'm working on my EF tonight....

I was painting my door handles flat black cause it was starting to fade. So I had the bass pumping and listened to music while doing this for about 1.5 hours. After all that time I realized my battery prolly will die. Ao I tried to start it up and it didnt crank just the relay's clicking.

I then pusshed it to about 5 KM/HR hopped in slammed it in 1st and dropped the clutch (with the car on) Got the car running then went back to my ork now listening to music with car running.


So After about 15 minutes I realized a strange smell. The smell of burning plastic wires. Ao im like oph **** so i shut the car off and pop the hood. I still couldnt locate the smell but after a While I pinned it down to by the Airbox.

I cracked open the Under hood fuse box cover. and it just reaked.

This is what I saw.:::


It is a burnt Fuse all black. It is the fuse for the battery 60A



So I looked at it and i was like how did this happen. Afterr a min or so I realized under all that burnt plastic there was a solid metal wire. It was so called shorting out the fuse.





So he shorted out the battery fuse when the fuse blew. Instead of buying a new fuse he shorted the broken one out !


So i went and bought a new fuse and put it in now im back in order.

Now my frikken Under hood fuse box is melted around that fuse and it frikken reaks.. aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

That just really pissed me off that someone could be that dumb

That is like driving on the wrong side of the road

i have had to use a fusably link before..well it was really just bubble gum wrapper..the foil one.i forgot about it and left it in there for about 2-3 months and didn't have no problems.

 

i do the same thing sometimes when I run out of fuses. I never had the problem of it melting like that though.....
By the way.. 1 1/2 hours to paint door handles???!!!! WTF????
