ok this is weird. my redline used to be right on the dot. witch was 6200 but for some reason. i thin yetserday when i was blackhousing my headlamps i disconnected the battery to reset the ecu. now, it shifts at like 6000rpm. i really dont like that. not only that. i cant get it up to 6200 rpm anymore. when i race from a roll i put it in D1 then when i reach like 6000 i let off the gas a lil pop it into D2 and gun it again. so the rpm shifts at like 6300 sometimes. and nothing happend. i tried it after i reset the ecu and when it goes past 6000 rpm... my needly jumps back n forth like its redlining..but...i've gone past that before. this sucks.. help please

Why don't you just leave it in D4 and let the trans shift at the redline? To me, it seems like you're losing some time shifting it like that.

I don't get that at all. First of all, rpms don't shift. You said sometimes, and nothing happened. So your trans sometimes shifts at 6.3k and that one time it didn't shift at all?

start in D3 and press the gas, slowly with the rpms as it rises. If not it will do the 1st to 2nd shift at 4k or 5, and you will lose power. dont jam the gas, doesnt help to much with D4,~~ saving gas gear mode.
tip.. dont let it hit the redline, you will lose time. Cause the auto trans will hit the redline and jerk a little trying to shift. When your near 5.8k let go of gas a bit, and it will shift for u ;and so one for every other gear.
