Default h22a ecu, for a f22b1? need some input on this.

i wanted to know if its worth or if its possible putting a h22a ecu or (p13) on a accord with a 2.2 liter soch vtec? heard that it would run stronger and more fuel delivery?

If you are going to get an ECU for your F22B1 you may want to look into something like a P72 with Hondata. Just throwing on the wrong ECU will definitely make it run like crap.

You need to use the ECU made for the engine you have. No ECU will be plug and play except the one made for that engine. All others will run like crap unless they are used with an aftermarket map.

if you have enough mods to justify getting a custom tuned ecu, then i would suggest going with a p28 and having that tuned for your motor. but if your only rocking boltons and what not on the stock motor, the stock ecu will be more than enough to run it.

eh, yes and no.

if you get a good tuner, or learn how to tune well, you will get gains, noticeable gains.

Now, im not promising anything because every application is different, but with some tuning, you can get better gas mileage and some power, depends on your bolt ons. and right now, im pretty sure you would much appreciate better gas mileage. its also a good idea to get a chipped ecu if you're gona be adding better mods down the road and it never hurts to be tuned.

get a p28 or p72 since you have vtec, but you can also get a p06 and convert it to vtec.
