I have a 1991 Crx and a 06' scion tC. The last 4 years I have always had a "new" car. Iam in the middle of putting in a d16z6 and turboing it. The exterior is in pretty good shape; but the car doesn't have a/c. Anyways, Iam thinking of selling the scion tC when I get the CRX running good and new paint. It would be nice to not have payments; and could spend even more on the rex. I was just wondering as Iam getting older and "can" afford a newer car how many of you guys can prefer to have a 15yr old car as their DD?

I'm not mid- 20's, I'm only 18.
But I do gotta go to work everyday and I drive a 91 hatch w/ a ZC.
Personally, I love it. No AC, No PS, No nothing. Just car. It's nice to know that not that many people still have them, they've all got EK's or EG's. You get waves from people that drive them on the street as well as you.
It's kinda nice to have a rarer car, not so much rare cause it's expensive and exotic, but rare cause it's hard to get them anymore. Especially nice ones...

I'm 23 and drive my CRX as a daily in the summer and will drive my Wagovan in the winter and when the CRX is down.
My recommendation is this: When I had only my CRX, I spent a lot of time asking people for rides when I couldn't get my car fixed in the allotted time or an unexpected part breaking, blah blah blah. I would recommend getting a second car, but make that an EF too, then the parts are swappable.
Really though, a second car was the best decision I've made. But definitely get rid of that car payment ****.

BUT. hondas basicly have me trapped as their easy to work on, cheap to afford and easy to buy parts keep me coming back for more. and b16 turbo helps alot too..... not to mention i have so much money into my car to ever back out lol

I suppose I fit the bill.
I had an EM1 Civic as a daily driver, and I used my CRX as a track car. I got bored with the EM1, and tired of paying for the insurance and the loan on it - so I sold it and kept the CRX. Now it's my daily driver. 254,000 miles and 37mpg.

i dont have a crx but i got my 91 ef hatch which i love. I honestly love having my old school car. It is cheap, easy to fix and gets great gas. I think it fits me and my situation, full time college student and full time worker, oh and im 23. Got to love the old school hondas!!!

I am almost 33 and have have continuously owned only CRXs for the last 8 years. I don't think i'd ever buy a new car. It is an old car, so what I do is usually own two at a time. That way, if one is on jackstands in the garage getting work done to it, I still have another one to drive.
I'm only 21 but i live with my gf we own a 91 hatch and a 05 neon. i'm planning on fixing my "parts car" up after i pull the motor out and put it in the one i'm driving now and it will be my dd then maybe getting a wagon for the winter or hopfully my s-10 350
I'm 25 and have a 91 Hatch as my DD. I also own a 2000 Si, but thats been out of commission for a while now, blown motor
Also have a 98 Jimmy, and a 2000 Grand Am. GM pieces of ****.

31 with a 91' Si as a DD. I'm fine with it because it's paid for, I'm getting 33-35 mpg, and full coverage ins. w/ $50 deductibles in only $375 every 6 months
I am going to have a new project though...I just bought a 69' Chevy stepside truck w/ a 6' wood bed. It needs some work, but It'll be nice not worrying about getting the rex running before I have to go to work

this car was my daily driver for about a year until i wanted to tear it apart, build a stroker, and add more boost.
so i bought a 2006 ridgeline as my new daily driver.

im 23 and my 89 crx si is my daily driver and will always be. its an old car but nothing will ever beat it its so reliable and cheap to maintain aint nothing like it no matter how old it gets.
im 20 and my crx will always be my daily unless something happens im thinking on maybe del sol next something with b16 under hood
but for now im content with the rex and heres a few reasons why, 1. killer gas mileage im laughing at these SUV douche bags next to me at the pumps. 2. 1 of about 3 crxs ive seen around my town(and the only 1 with rims or any jdm engine swap I know of for sure HA
)
its not like your EK's or EG hatchs where you see them ALL OVEEER the place. 3. Ive gotten so much *** thanks to that rex im in debt to it forever 1 of these days im gonna dump a bunch of bills on it make her go fast...well faster

im not mid 20s but im 20 and i own a 88 crx that i use as my DD and i have a 1999 Jeep grand cherokee limited V8 i dont drive that much cause it sucks up too much gas. ive had my jeep for over a year and have only had my rex for a couple months i love them both and they havent given me any problems since ive owned them.
i'm 20 and i have a daily driver scion XB with a b-series powered crx Si for ocasions.........but i'm getting rid of that and going back to a CRX HF as my daily driver mainly cuz i cant see myself in any "new" car...
im 22, have a good paying full time job and i drive my 88 crx si daily, mainly just because of gas prices, but also because its so damn fun to drive. i drive agressivley every day and still get an average of 34 MPH with a d15b. gets why better milage than my 00 tacoma. thats more of a winter vehicle.

just as an example of how cheep honda's are, my mom bought a 95 civic dx cpe 2 months ago for $600 with tags and titles. absoutly no rust on the car and besides the hood there was no dents either. the only problem with it was a blown head gasket. i put a new HG on it and a belt and a pump for a total of $200. she just took if for a trip and get 40 MPG...40 MPG with a $800 95 civic. i love these damn hondas.

I'm 34, and here's my daily driver. (it has A/C)

I also have a showroom clean 2000 civic hatch, but it is mainly used by my wife for shopping and for long trips.
Both cars are paid for. It's great not having car payments.
