The zc is a pretty good motor for its price and age. But the zc tranny is hella short geared. I redlined my 5th gear at 130 mph. Well not redline, but at 6,800 rpm.
Before I sold it!

short geared? why would you need more than 130 in a rex or hatch anyway?
Thats just nuts going any faster in these cars.

I have a sohc zc with intake and exhaust and cam gear only. ran a 15.6 at 94mph on stock si wheels with kumho radials. Took a lot of practice, and thats my best so far. Just to see what my top end was, I too hit 130 @ 6800 in fifth. that was fast enough in that car.

check out Big Tuna on d-series.org He's started hittin mid 13s all motor on street tires.

130 isn't even that fast on the freeway.
It wasn't that fast because my speedo was pegged and there was an eg who thought he was cool. When we were side by side he did nothing. Then he fell back so he could do a fly by. Damn ricers

isnt even that fast? what are you trying to prove? I am not flaming you man, but why the HELL do you want to do that on a public road? Have you ever seen what happens to a rex at a 70 mile an hour wreck? Are you crazy? but i guess at that age thats whats cool to do.

if you want to go faster than that, then get a car thats built for it.

It was a hatch not a crx. And I figure lifes too short to hold back. There's too many ways to die nowdays so I would rather die doing what I love. Yah I'm a youngster, 20 years old

yes, life is too short, but that doesnt give any of us the excuse to be stupid.

I was your age too, not to long ago. and I was also 10 ft tall and bulletproof with the same attitude you have, till I was racing around enjoying myself, thinking how badass I was and then killed 2 children under the age of 10 in an accident.

thats something i will have to live with the rest of my life because i was too damn smart to listen to commen sense when others would try to teach me.

JUST LIKE YOU. AND OTHER KIDS LIKE YOU.

No me and you are not the same. I know when it is and isn't appropriate to race. That's what separates me from the rest

yep, and every kid at that age thinks the same fukking thing. are you to egotistical to realize that? probably.

i was on a four lane highway with hardly anybody around at 130 in the morning. and some lady in her car decided to change lanes all the way across and boom.

you are being ignorant, the sad thing is i know all to well that nobody can say anything to change your mind because you know it all already dont you.

thought so. just like all the rest who think they are different.

but nobody can tell them that either, till something bad happens.

grow up. and i hope you get to. i really do. just dont kill anybody.
