so i have a 91 crx si that i currently drive, and i had just won an 88 crx si off of ebay[URL] http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&rd=1[/URL] and i just wanted to know before i start doing stuff what parts are or are not directly interchangable. i plan on using the 88 just for spare parts and nothing more, possibly selling some parts off it.

i dont know if its easier to answer what parts are interchangable or what ones are not, whatever list is shorter.

Some things i know,

seats are not directly bolt up, (88 floor pans are different)
rear shocks/ lca are different. (to use 88 rear shocks you need 88 rear lca). Doors and seatbelts are different, 88 has the lighter doors with pillar mounted seatbelts.


Other than that they are pretty much interchangable

 

so are all the rear plastic peices and carpet interchangable?

 

there are alot of parts that are interchangeable, and alot that arent, i think you should have thought about whats interchangeable before you bought a spare to use for parts...imo you can still use alot of parts tho..

the front ends on civics form 88 to 91 are swapible but they are 2 different styles (headlights)

 

haha funny cause i was looking at that CR-X for parts for my CR-X...idk whats interchangeable...not too knowlegdeable on swapping parts from doner cars

 

well im mainly looking to swap rear plastic trunk peices, dash and things along those lines
