What is it not ok for somebody who rides around on the street to have a cage even if they don't stunt?

I got a good deal, certified aswell.

Let's just say if I put it up for sale in a bike trader ad I could get a few thousand more then I paid, possibly.

I might do that and upgrade to a newer RR.

The bike looks pretty good. I see that it has been dropped. The only thing I would change would be the rear mud guard - paint it black

apparently, cages will acutually reduce the degree you can lean your bike and could expletive you even more

sliders should be more than enough for a noob. ride safe and you should have no problems. ride like a dumbass, not even a cage is going to protect yuo or your bike

uh no. it's that it'll hurt you in the long run like someone else pointed out. sliders are fine. now maybe leave the cage on for the first month but after that when you really start riding you won't want it. and raise that front back up. but likely you'll just ride around town anyways so leave it and be a mad tyte stunta wannabe...

Cages on a non-stunt bike = training wheels

Ok you corner carving ****, just bec. somebody rides around regular on the streets with a cage you want to talk about lean angle...tell me something...during regular riding under normal circumstances not trying to be 'the doctor' when would he have a problem with lean angle? Is it so hard for you to think that maybe, just maybe (even though not the case here), somebody would want to protect their investment further than frame sliders when on the street, and then if they feel like going to a track, where all agressive riding should be kept, they would take said cage off?. Frame sliders are didly squat compared to the protection of a cage for a street bike.

Last time i checked people used training wheels, and there was nothing wrong with it.

And whats the problem with this??

You guys need to ease up off this man. He already stated his reason for having said cage on the bike.

you dont have to be 'the doctor' to lean your bike. decreasing radius onramp? parking on a hill? driveways with crowns?

imho i think cages are stupid if you arent stunting. before you get your panties in a knot, keyword is opinion

Ok ok...just thought you were giving him hard **** bec. of it. Didn't see it as your 'opinion'...kind of saw it as you forcing something at him, my bad.

Sure, indeed...but then you are not being the safest possible that you could be would you? I dunno...I guess...well, my philosophy has always been 'keep it on the track'...in my case it would be racing...i keep it at the track for the most part...i guess the same prinicple would not apple to people who ride curves??? Sure there are twisty roads out there that you can ride at the speed limit and drag knee but to me something like that should 'stay at the track' i guess...i dunno...two different worlds i suppose.

Sorry for the rant

but am i the only one that finds how he put "Lowered 2 inches" in his sig funny? he listed it there as if its a good thing

as far as i know there is nothing to be gained from excessive lowering

how am I not being the safest? 25 mph going the speed limit and going to the edge of the rear tire. Nothing unsafe about it. I'd scrape that cage making any left and right turn from a stop light. you need to learn what you're talking about considering you have a stretched out gixxer that can't turn either you don't have much room to talk

if you need "training wheels" for a motorcycle then you have no business being on a motorcycle

absoultely nothing is gained, why would you put some POS lowering link on a suspension that Honda spent millions developing?
