GSXR600 header interchangeable with 1000?
Anyone know?
I'm not really a bike fan, but I picked up a 600 for very cheap and want to do a turbo kit, but the only turbo maniold I can find is for the GSXR1000.

Why what? Why turbo? Because all my cars are turbo and I already have the tools and parts to turbo this $400.00 bike.
I'll head on over to gixxer.com if nobody else knows.
Before you guys ask why it was so cheap... salvaged title, all fairings are broken, chipped, or missing and the seat/battery were missing, it's back together now thanks to e-bay, just needs paint and a front tire.

I just find it hard to believe that a motorcycle would require more power in order to gain more enjoyment out of it. But, that's just one man's opinion.
Are the frame and subframe straight? The swingarm is okay? It sounds like the bike took one hell of a beating to be worth only $400.
Good luck with the turbo mod. Don't forget to come back and post up some pics of the project. While I'm not so mechanically inclined/adventurous, I like to see what other people can do.

Gixxer.com the extreme performance section or you can go to TurboBikeResearch.com...they have flanges and manifolds and kits for almost all model gixxers. I'll be running their kit in about a year.
have you ridden a modern 600cc before? the delivery is kinda like a turbo car..
4k.. 5k.. nothing.. 7k.. 8k.. still nothing.. then comes 10k its
(in lower gears anyway)
if you want more power then you should try a newer literbike. i can't see myself wanting any more than 145+whp. 3rd gear power wheelies scare me

Something gives me the notion that this is his first bike so that is a bad idea.

with out doing extinsive mods to the headers they will not fit, the 1000 is spaced about 1/8" wider than the 600. This has alot to do with the year also. However just because your civic is turbo you do not need to turbo the bike. It's got bad idea written all over it.
I've been buying and selling cars and bikes for about 8 years now, usually on bikes, i'll just fix them and sell them, but I don't think i'll be able to sell this one, that's why I want to turbo.
I started my small displacement motor life when I was about 8 years old when I rode around 50cc quads, then I moved up to the 250's, the 450's, then onto CR125's, then to street cruisers like the virago, CB's, then onto sport bikes and scooters.
My most recent bikes (only bought to sell) were Honda Reflex 250 scooter, four 125cc scooters, Lifan 200cc GSXR look-a-like, ZX-6RR, EX250 Ninja, an imported CBR250, ZX7R, and an older than dirt Honda Aero 80 scooter.
The reason I buy so many scooters is because they're the easiest to sell.
I'm not new to bikes, this 600 isn't really a GSXR, it's a 97 katana and it feels a lot slower than the 250cc honda reflex scooter I just got rid of.

Sure you have you ******* toolbag. You either A.) Have no ******* clue what your talking about, or B.) Did not know what the bike was prior to making this post. Option B seems irrelevant because you say you've ridden said 600 and feels slower than a 250cc scooter. Now, why do I call you a toolbag? Because nobody in their right minds that has been around bikes gets gixxers and kan'o'tunas mixed up.
