Default Changing a wheel bearing...

I have established (with your help!) that my Prelude 1994 VTEC requires an offside wheel bearing. The bearing produces a whining sound and there is slight play in the wheel.

I'm not too familiar with the prelude setup, but I would like to change the wheel bearing myself. Is this a difficult job, and what does it entail?

I take it the wheel bearing is sealed on this model, and I require a new hub with bearing? Alternatively, I do have a wheel bearing press....

My last question is, Is the vehicle safe to drive for a month or so, until I have the time to undertake the required work?

Thanks in advance for your valued input.

Please search. Wheel bearing removal/installations have been covered numerous times. The safety of the car depends on how much play is in the wheel. Any play will cause excess wear on other components and the bearing should be replaced as soon as you can.

Thanks, I did conduct a search... but it did not return the information I required. Just two results where returned and these simply included information on bolt size and the other something about how to press a new bearing in...

Sorry, I thought people followed the rules of the forum. For example:
