stock speed limiter I believe is around 105mph, the obo b16 has a speed limiter around 120mph. So stock ecu's are limiting, save your money and piece together a turbo kit, and you'll be fine. But remember than tuning is the most important part of upgrading power.

True, if you crash your crx/ef at over 70mph, you will be looking down at us, and saying damn that was stupid, and your crx will be a little box of metal. Crx/ef's are probably the least safe honda on the street, and that's why in the future when my crx is fast enough, I will be installing a rolecage. People may say why do you have a rolecage in a street car, but until you see a crx after a high speed accident, you won't understand(nothing is left, a box of metal)

Dude, you truly are a nut sack if you are top speeding around on public roads, whats wrong with you? Your rex is NOT a race car, never meant to be one either. If thats what you want though, then build it right and take it to the track, till then you are just risking all the lifes of everybody elses children..

grow up.

People shouldnt be able to get their drivers license untill they pass an intelligence test of what to do and what not to do on the streets. OR until they are at least 21.

very true, if you do have a need for speed, find a very lonely back road at 3 in the morning and go ***** out, at least that way if you eat ****, you only kill yourself and dont cause any destruction.

Actually, go to the track man. I've almost been hit by some idiot in a jetta Gli because he thought he was on the autobahn or some ****.

Kill yourself man, not inocent people. SLOW THE expletive DOWN!

Your 1.5L simply doesn't have the power to go fast man. It runs out of jam before the gear does. Don't bother going fast, you simply look like a moron cause it's moving slow.

And for whoever wants to know. CRX and EF may be toast after a high speed accident. But the driver and passenger usually climb out of there metal box in mint condition. I have experienced 2 EF accidents. They crumple and crack and everything shatters and goes flying around and you spin out of control and you feel like your gonna die, but that's how the car is designed. Honda didn't wanna put the weight of having high safety ratings, they just wanted to make it cheap and economical. They designed the car to crumple and fall apart from an accident, yet leave the people inside in good condition.

Let me upload a pic and show you guys.

This car was at 65mph, and car that side swiped him was doing around 100mph, thats what was in the thread on HT. The car flew into a ditch and shreaded in the crash. The driver climbed out and was fine. The maxima that nailed him was fucked too.

You just don't understand. The roll bar makes the car stronger in case of an impact. You could die from just hitting your head on the roof or some other part of the car.OR get ejected for not wearing a seatbelt. The bottom line is don't race on the streets and buckle-up.
oh and don't act like a know-it-all-newbee
I've watched a guy getting flown out on a Medi-vac copter right in front of the place I work. There was nothing left of his car-but he lived.

Ah yeah, it was never meant to be fast. If you want a fast car either start trying to build it or get a fast car. Either way it cost money.

You have a 92 hp 1.5L w/ 2 fuel injectors, how fast do you think it is. Do you really wanna hit 120 in a 16 year old car w/ 16 year parts on it. Plus it doesn't have performance gearing it is for gas mileage.

Eh, this doesn't prove much to me. If there was a passenger there, they would have been crushed. If the impact was on the other side, the driver would have been just as crushed.

To bring this back on topic..... Yes your rebuilt d15 should ge going faster than 101. Me and my sister went 115 in a bonestock lowered 88 base model hatch. Thoze are rated at 70hp if u didn't know.
Oh it had intake. Woo, big 3 hp gain.and also for the future, don't rebuild a d15. Do us all a favor and get it out of the scene. One less d15 to worry about

Not to threadjack, from what I recall way back when that thread was published was...there was indeed a passenger in there. Then something about him jumping out really quickly after the crash. Damn, my memory is going to ****.

i have a 91 rex with a zc bottom end, but the whole top end, at least used to be, a dx top end, from head to intake to all 2 injectors, but i used to be able to hit like 115 on stock ecu, which doesnt make sense, cuz its basically like a low compression, no fuel, no flow, SI

In fact I wasn't out racing i was out on a back road that go's clear straight for 2 miles and was very early in mourning so f**k you.

Also I did ask for a traffic report I asked about my car and engine thats all.

Plus I only rebiult the engine so I could have a car to drive.
Also, thanks to everyone who actually helped me out with the question!

Ironic...all this talk about speed and crashing; then you spelled "morning" as "mourning"...
