TPS reading in reverse? help me out
I broke my TPS when i was dropping my JDM engine into my USDM chassis and i decided i would use the H23 TPS on the JDM one. The car idles at 3k rpm and throws the TPS code. I read how to calibrate it so i made this make shift testing block so i didnt have to cut the wires on the harness. When i tested the voltage at WOT it was .23 and when i checked closed throttle it was 5v even. Isnt this in extreme reverse? The engine prior to me owning the prelude (the H23 isdm) had blown a piston for some reason. I didnt check any codes on the old ecu before i pulled the engine although i probably should have. I didnt do any rewiring on anything other than the VTEC so i know i didnt goof anything up with the wiring, not saying someone else prior to me owning it couldnt have though. Id just like some ideas before i start tearing anything apart.
Why would a TPS read in reverse?
Why would a TPS read in reverse?
pull out ur tps and allign the plastic rod in the tps with the metal notch in the tb. the plastic piece needs too fit in the metal notch . if its above or below it will read reverse.
