Sorry I do not know the difference.

I would not bother with the gsr shocks and buy some shocks that are better suited for a lowered application with higher spring rates.

If you want to go cheap but effective you can get KYB GR-2s pretty cheap. Or if you want adjustable go with KYB AGX. They are more expensive but work really well.

kyb gr-2's are pretty much an oem replacement. they wont net you any performance upgrade.
the kyb agx's are adjustable, but their quality is questionable. there are people who have been using those for a long time without issues on pretty high spring rates, i/e skunk2 sleeves actually, and there are other people who have had them self destruct in a matter of months with low rate lowering springs.
depending on how much you plan to lower the car, the agx warranty is void if you lower more than 1.5" (as per KYB's website)

I have the agx's and I would say stay away, they are not worth it. Go with something better.

I have those shocks and I love them. Well worth the money and they have a lifetime warranty.

I had AGX's and was very let down by the quality of them...just my opinion, from a person who has owned them. On the other hand, I know people who will swear by them.

pimp slap that fool for tryin to tax you more for gsr shocks. No difference at all. Your car will ride like sh#t with just coilovers def go with kyb/illuminas for a quick fix.
