1992 accord EX engine swap????
i have a 92 accord and it has the f22a in it. i just recently bought an f22 from japan, which its to my understanding is an H23a and came out of a Prelude. in the US. what do i need to do in order to put this in my car? the place i bought it from says its a direct replacement.
It is either an F22A or H23A, it can't be both. Take a look at the new engine you got. Look to the left of the exhaust manifold (or where it would be) and on the block you should see a flat little square. It will have the engine code etched into it.
sorry dude im a retard.it has the 22a in it now and i have a f22b going back in, whic from what i understand in the US it is considered an H23.it is the dual ovhead cam Non-V-tech motor
You are talking about the F22B DOHC, it is a JDM motor. The head is the same as the H23 here in the US. But the difference is somewhere in the block of the H23 that gives it .3 more displacement.
yes that is right, from what ive been told. i have no idea about these engine swaps. the guy i bought it from says it will fit right in the car with no problems. what i am wanting to know basically, is has anyone done it and do i have to do anything special?
