Comments on putting a H22a in a 89 rex?
It is very expensive and a lot of work but if done properly it will be very very quick. There is a guy on here with one. I think his screename is esp169. I would only use the car for drag racing and daily driving. For daily driving it will need a nice suspension setup to handle the extra weight up front.
Ok , How about your springs, did you have to use prelude front springs to compensate, if so what about the rear, or hears another thought, since I have a 2' drop on mine I would need to get the 2' drop springs for a preluded to sit right and handle correctly?
And what about your mounts, how many if any of your old motor mounts fit or slightly fit?, did you have any problem w/out a kit?
Is your ac on it as well? mine is now.
The wiring harness, and special plugs clips wires to run etc...
What ECU/ What Compression r u at?/vs. what it came with.
Do you ever run it to have any times? I personally know of 1 bone stock , pulling high 12, all stock, he had to cut hood braces to fit, purrrrs like a kitten,
Sorry to drill you with so many questions, But I am stocked about my new project.
Thnaks.

well....I can't answer all of your questions, but prelude springs? Just get stiffer springs for a crx. I don't know why you would get prelude springs. I would say maybe get 1 1/2 inch drop springs for a crx with a pretty aggressive spring rate. Since the springs are made for a 1.6L SOHC engine car, the extra weight would probably put you around 2 inches. The only problem is that since you have added weight to the front of the car, and are getting stiffer springs for the added weight, you are gonna have understeer like an SOB. Have fun and good luck. They thing will definetely haul on the straights.
