Default fuel pump not priming..main relay?? HELP!!!

ok so i just finished my mpfi swap, everything all hooked up .. no CEL or anything, i go to fire her up, and she wont start.. ok, weird.. i take a wire and jump the starter.. she starts, sweet!!! car idles fine for about 5 mins, after that i go to see how she revs, well its all good until about 4500 or so, not sure i dont have a tach.... but up till about there she good, then she starts to bog on me, so i turn her off and try to restart no good, however i dont hear the fuel pump prime anymore which makes me think that the bogging was due to no fuel, any help would be awesome, cuz i need it.. main relay?? ive checked everything over and over... and it was priming before... so what you guys think?? thanks in advance!!!

does your fuel pump prime? do your injectors open? does your relay make a buzzing noise?

my 2 cents would be check all fuses and grounds especially your thermostat ground!

Man, mine was doing that too. I just got my car and towed it home from Virginia...and it started fine when I picked it up! When I got home, it was jacked....was definetly the main relay:

http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html\

This site explains how to test and fix your relay if that is the problem.

It probly ran good for five minutes because the injectors were able to pull the remaining fuel outta the fuel lines, but the pump was'nt running (due to main relay or ?bad pump?) then there was nor more fuel, and that would cause it to not restart.

Your location SHOULD be behind the coin holder on the far left: remove the coin holder, and look in there to the far left, and it will probly be mouned next to the wall by the door.

Let me know if I can help you get it fixed!

Most main relays take a **** in the summer. If your car is in a hot place let the doors open and cool down inside the car. The heat will heat up the solder and make starting the car hard, if possible at all. This is what happened to me recently. Good luck

The easiest way to tell if a relay is bad, hit it. its just a circut board. And its common for the contacts to go bad. OR sometimes you can just unplug another relay that is the same and swith them. Usually on the newer vechiles for checking ac compressors or condensor fans etc..

Its real easy to resolder the contacts...the hardest part of doing this is getting it out of the car! I tried autozone and advance, and neither carry it(in my area any ways) so I went to Blue Ridge Motorsports here in Morganton, and they can order it, but is like $69(can't remeber for sure) so I just re-soldered mine.

My main relay was $61.

Check your "alternator soldenoid" fuse. Mine blew cause my fuel kill switch grounded out and it wouldn't prime...

you could get another one, but if you got a soldering iron and some solder and some solder braid, its much cheaper! If you need help, just IM me, and I'll be more than happy to assist...

so i found it, one tip needs to be re-soldered... it looks just like the one in diagram form 88crxSI ... kinda has a circle around the base ...almost like it seperated... well it did ... haha.. so im thinking i just need to solder it up and it should be good..
