I have to agree w/ that.

I used to slip the clutch, but its too much trouble. You get better consistency if you just drop it. Just rev up to 4000-4500 and pop the clutch, when you feel the tires grab just stomp on the gas and let her rip.

4-5k dump, depending on if you bog after the tires hook up.. depends on the track surface. Or if you get wheel hop try a 3-4k slip...

You ITR guys - does the stock ITR get wheel hop?

5.5 to 6 and let the RPMs roll with the car, it's good if it hangs at 9k while still accelerating. I couldn't do this with my stock tires, but when I bought T1-S tires I could do so real nicely. I used to launch at 3-4, I thought to myself "this is pretty quick!" but then I raced my friend's GSX and my car really struggled to overcome that 4-5k-ish level. Now launching at a higher RPM, I can hang with him really good at the launch, then pass him in 3rd gear

how strong does the clutch smell after that type of run ?, must burn a bit hugh.
I think dumping is easier on the clutch, harder on the drivetrain though.

Last time I did that, I glazed my clutch 1 through 3. What could be wrong?

well at 4000 I drop the clutch but it spins pretty bad but around 2000 it bogs down to much maybe feathering the clutch at 4000-5000 is the key.

If it's slicks and a non stock clutch, say good bye to your axles too...
