I have a crap intake pipe with one of those new AEM dryflows and I think it was better than my K&N...

This route always works fine.
Keep in mind an intake won't give you breath taking gains, this is why the simple pipe and good filter works well.

They used to be K&N filters and now AEM makes their own, the dryflows are much better because you dont have to worry about the oils going into the sensors and gumming them up.

So should not go with K&Ns on your AEM intake?

You can do whatever you want, but those require filter oil, and it CAN be bad for sensors if they get gunked up with the oil. Dealerships usually use the 'filtering oil' excuse for why they wont cover engine damage with intake.

I got my AEM filter from autoanything.com for 45 shipped.

Someone on v6p.net had their car dynoed and between the aem short ram and aem cold air...the short ram suprisingly had better gains on the 98-02 accord coupe v6's. just some extra knowledge.

Too bad dyno runs (even taken minutes apart) can show very different results due to temperature changes, engine warm up and cool down and other factors.
