Default Tach question

For some reason after I did my JDM H22 swap into my accord my tach stopped working for some weird reason. Honda told me there is a tach signal coming from the dizy, but there no signal going to the tach. This makes no sense to me because when I turn my key to the on position the tach needle moves up slightly. The pin the holds the needle at O is broken in my cluster so the needle hand is all the way down below 0, but I see it move slightly when I turn the car on. Any ides or suggestions, could my tach be broken.

the tachomtere uses power and hence when you turn the power on to the car it powers the needle and points to what the tach is reading "0" rpm . .its working correctly but obviously the tach singnal is not making its way from the dizzy to the tachometer in the cluster. its a simple wiring problem. you can use any manual that will tell you the tach wire color, think its blue.. and you find your break somewhere..

Default Could I

If I wanted too, could I just simply connect another wire right on the blue tach signal wire on the dizy then wire it straight to the tach itself to insure a signal?
