i got a situation, i got a civic 4 door with b16 stock, ls tranny, headers, straigth pipe no cat 2 1/4 exhaust and cold air intake...my car is running good, but i want more. so i have some money that i wanna spend on the engine. around a 1000 bucks. i was thinking to put camshafts, springs and retainers, and my mechanic will do the job arount 800 with parts and labor. but now a friend call me that he's selling type r head hooked up already for 700 bucks and the type r block for another 700 bucks... what do you guys recommend to me ??????? and what i'll need if i do one of the type r parts on my b16?

 

B16 tranny with LSD and/or nitrous.

 

just get the block and head. thats what i would do or if you want to get really good speed, then go Force Induction on your b16. you will be faster than speending your money on that stuff and there will always be room for upgrades in the future. well good luck.

that engine is from my friend's car, but the thing is i don't have the whole money to get the head and the block....so i need just one of those things or do the work on my head
