Default my timing belt snap ?

so i was driving home @ 65-70 mph right... all of a sudden when i gas it, my car seems to not accelerate but slow down? i thought i was pressing upon the brakes but i WAS on the gas pedal. so i drive normally again for a mile and this time i press the gas again and it slows again but my car complete slows itself down to a stop on the freeway...

i open my valve cover and my timing belt is perfectly fine. no play, i didn't want to try to pull it to hard but the belt looks/feels completely fine. not ruling it out though.

i go to start it and nothing. i tried listening for fuel but it was noisey as hell.

was it because of:

1. no spark/ignition
2. no fuel
3. the timing belt snapped

somebody...anybody. thanks...

start with the basics..
Check for spark.. if there is no spark then check
1. plugs for fouling
2. Ignition wires
3. ICM
4. Ignition Coil

If u dont hear the fuel pump priming check
1. Main relay
2. Fuel pump
3. Fuel Filter

sounds like a distributor or fuel related problem. If you snapped your timing belt you would most definate notice it by removing the VC.

yeah... my belt is like secure... i hope i didn't stretch the thing by trying to pull it. haha.

it's actually been cracked for a while... still worked

i'm leaning towards my fuel... i cannot hear it prime anymore. i changed my filter and my relay is less than a year old. my pump on the other hand is from 94.

anyway, has my engine been damaged in any way internally from this happening?

Its not your T Belt, your motor would have shut of instantly.

Yeah, if it was your timing belt you would have a hard time starting./running your car since the crank would be turning but your valvetrain would not be.
