Well, after seeing the D series topmount made out of an OEM manifold (which was sick as hell btw)

im contemplating getting a small IHI turbo from the junkyard that has been sitting out in the weather for 8 months (so i could probably get it for like $4 and a banana) and throwing it on some stock CX motor. No innercooler, no BOV, just DSM 450's, AFC hack, and piping to the throttle..

then make a video of me rodding the **** out of it for 5 minutes until everything blows up.... and putting the video on HT....

This is totally a thought out of bordem, and i dont plan on making any power, i just want to see how long the motor would last... could be fun?

Bump cause I'm thinking of doing something similiar to my dx.I just want a little more power without doing a swap,but its going to be my daily so I'm still not sure if ill do it or not

 

Using a wastegate actuator from a mid-80s 300z (5psi) or any in in this thread that are below 7psi should be okay w/o intercooler.

A t25 like a 14b or smaller like an ihi (I think a old Probe?) would be great for a 1.5L. To blow it up, try a 50trim T3, and just seal the WG.
