Default Sweat The Small Stuff

So I got my JDM OBD1 B16A (92-95) on the way, full swap plus skunk2 OBD2A-OBD1 jumper harness $2,100...But anyway the point of this thread is I am having troubles figuring out which axles, shift linkage, and mounts to get. I have a budget so I can't get all Hasport stuff or believe me I would. If somebody has parts they are getting rid of that will help me or knows of a place to get them please let me know.

raxles.com for your axles. They make axles specifically made for swaps like yours.

Well I'm going to assume you're swapping this into a 96-98 civic since you have the obd2a to obd1 harness. When I got my obd1 b16a complete changeover from hmotorsonline the axles and shift linkage that came with the swap worked fine, so I assume the ones that come with yours should too, unless it doesn't come with them haha. In that case any 94-01 integra shift linkage should work, and for axles i believe del sol vtec ones will work. For mounts I went with Innovative mounts from Passwordjdm, and I love them. They're very solid and I have very little vibration from them. You will need a 99-00 Civic Si rear transmission bracket for sure, should be able to get that from the stealership if you want or i know passwordjdm has them too. You'll want to go with radiator hoses from a del sol VTEC and if you want to keep a/c if you have it you'll want a del sol vtec or crv a/c bracket to use your stock d-series compressor and the rest of the system. It's also good flush the trans and engine and put new fluids in, but i'm sure you knew that lol. I'd suggest OEM honda for the trans fluid and royal purple engine oil, i like that combo a lot on mine. Hope that helps out, pm me if you have any other questions.

Yeah I believe in states with inspection the engine being swapped into a car has to be either the same year or newer. No problem for me, though, no inspection in South Dakota.

I'm not to worried about the visual inspection I'm not going to be selling the car anytime soon. Thanks for all the info I will be posting pics of the removal of the baby d-series and the installation of the big brother b-series. Lets all hope it goes as planned!!!!

no offense but a better idea if you're on a budget is to wait out a lil more and just get a B18C1

?!?!? How would that help save money, he would still be looking for axles, a shift linkage, and a mount kit, and he would have paid twice as much for the motor swap as the B16A.

your proboly talking about the rear mount on the motor.....

were talking about the mount that bolts to the car itself...then you bolt the motor to it...if your friend did use an integra one for that i dono how his motor is sitting in there...

Another question has arised for me...Since it is an OBD1 motor and I'm reusing the stock EX harness (OBD2A) do I have to connect the second O2 sensor? I ask this because I need to get a 2.5" test pipe for the JDM header and I don't want to mess with and O2 simulator...somebody help me out here!
