I have recently purchased a lsd tranny for my hatch. A pothole or somthing caused the case to crack. What i am wondering is if the lsd tranny's gear set and lsd can be put into the old non-lsd tranny's case. If so how hard is it, ive taken apart a honda trans just to verify grinds before but never looked at switching gear sets between trannys. Can it be removed and replaced as one unit? I just want to save myself a buck if it is easy to remove my lsd gearset from my jdm tranny and place it in the case of the usd tranny. I will supply pics of the crack but it is on the part closest to where it bolts to the motor and it is leaking fluid. If it wasnt i probably wouldnt think of replaceing it.
